How to choose a Shopify mobile app builder
June 28, 2026 • 8 min read
“Best” depends on catalog size, who will edit the app week to week, and whether you can pay Tapcart-style retainers. Use the checks below, then look at Appziot’s public pricing — Lite $29/month, Starter $99/month, Growth $199/month, 30-day trial, both iOS and Android.
Shopify sync you can verify
Open a product in Shopify Admin, change price or inventory, and see whether the preview in the builder updates without a CSV. Appziot reads products, collections, and orders from the store you connected. If a builder makes you re-upload the catalog, you will fight drift.
Editor vs. “we’ll design it for you”
Appziot’s dashboard is a widget editor: carousels, product grids, search, filters, promotions. Layout changes ship through server-driven UI, so you are not resubmitting to Apple for every merchandising tweak. If your team cannot log in and move a block, you will wait on tickets.
Push that is in the plan, not an add-on surprise
Abandoned-cart and campaign push should be a named feature on the plan page, not a quote. Appziot Starter includes push; Growth adds rich push. See the recovery walkthrough on /blogs/abandoned-cart-recovery-shopify-mobile-app.
Price on a public page
If the vendor only quotes after a demo, assume enterprise. Appziot lists Lite, Starter, and Growth on /pricing/. For Tapcart, App Brew, Shopney, and Superfans (formerly Vajro), use the comparison URLs under /compare/.
Store submission
Ask who owns the Apple Developer account, screenshots, and privacy nutrition labels. Appziot’s submission notes are on /blogs/shopify-app-store-submission-guide. You still need Apple and Google developer accounts.
A practical shortlist
Need a branded storefront app without a mobile squad: install Appziot from apps.shopify.com/appziot, build in the editor, trial for 30 days. Need a unique native module Shopify cannot express: get that quote separately and do not block the rest of the app on it.
