Shopney vs Tapcart: Pricing for Shopify Stores
Updated November 4, 2026 • 12 min read
Answer in brief
On 24 October 2026, Shopney’s public pricing started at $149/month (Silver) and Tapcart’s at $500/month (Growth). Shopney is the lower-priced Shopify-focused ladder with no advertised sales commission. Tapcart is the higher-priced platform for teams that will use its testing and enterprise tools. Appziot is the lower fixed-price option, from $29/month, when the job is a branded iOS and Android app with push from $99/month and you do not need either vendor’s broader stack.
Shopney vs Tapcart is a head-to-head: two named builders, one verdict. Both turn a Shopify store into an iOS and Android shopping app. They do not cost the same, and they are not aimed at the same team. Dedicated plan pages: Shopney pricing and Tapcart pricing.
Disclosure: Appziot publishes this page and sells a Shopify mobile app builder. Appziot is one of the options below. Prices for Shopney and Tapcart were read from their public pricing pages on 24 October 2026. They can change. Confirm the quote, the contract, and any add-on before you buy. The short answer
Choose Shopney when you want a Shopify mobile app with a published ladder that starts well below Tapcart, flat subscription pricing, and no advertised commission on sales. Choose Tapcart when a growth or enterprise team will actually use A/B testing, heatmaps, advanced analytics, or an uptime SLA, and a $500 monthly starting plan fits the budget. Choose Appziot when you want to prove whether customers will install an app before you commit to either of those stacks. Appziot Lite is $29/month, Starter is $99/month, and Growth is $199/month, with push notifications from Starter.

Published prices, checked 24 October 2026
These are the monthly prices on each vendor’s own pricing page. Annual figures are the discounted monthly equivalents those pages publish, not a price we calculated.
| Plan | Shopney | Tapcart | Appziot |
|---|---|---|---|
| Entry | Silver, $149/month ($119/month billed yearly) | Growth, $500/month | Lite, $29/month ($290/year) |
| Next tier | Gold, $299/month ($239/month billed yearly) | Scale, $1,250/month | Starter, $99/month ($990/year), which adds push |
| Upper published tier | Platinum, $599/month ($499/month billed yearly) | Enterprise+, $2,850/month | Growth, $199/month ($1,990/year) |
| Top listed tier | Enterprise, from $1,299/month ($999/month billed yearly) | Enterprise+ is the top listed plan | Growth is the top plan |
| Trial | 30 days | Pricing page does not list a free trial length | 30 days on every plan |
| Sales commission | None, per Shopney’s pricing FAQ | Not published as one formula on the pricing page | None |
Shopney’s yearly column is worth reading twice. Silver at $119/month billed yearly is $1,428 a year. Tapcart Growth at $500/month is $6,000 a year before any add-on. That gap is the main reason this comparison shows up when merchants search for Shopney pricing and Tapcart pricing side by side.
Appziot’s yearly prices skip two months: $290, $990, and $1,990. The live breakdown is on the pricing page. A wider look at custom builds, agency work, and store fees is in what a Shopify mobile app costs.
What you still pay either way
Both Shopney and Tapcart say the Apple Developer Program ($99 USD per year) and Google Play developer registration ($25 USD, once) are separate. Appziot treats those the same way: they are your accounts, billed by Apple and Google, not by the builder.
Tapcart’s pricing page also lists a $250/month AI add-on covering AI push, Autopilot, AI Scenes, and generative video. That fee sits on top of Growth, Scale, or Enterprise+. Shopney’s pricing page does not list an equivalent AI add-on. Appziot includes rich push on Growth ($199/month) and does not sell a separate AI subscription.
Tapcart’s pricing page does not publish one usage-fee or success-fee formula. Its Shopify App Store listing has previously said external charges may apply. Ask Tapcart for a written total that covers the subscription, the AI add-on if you want it, any usage or success fee, and professional services. Shopney’s pricing FAQ says it does not charge success fees or commissions.
What Tapcart is for
Tapcart’s Growth plan, at $500/month, is the entry product. The pricing page lists unlimited blocks, unlimited integrations, unlimited push, unlimited custom screens, App Studio AI editing, product badging, 24/7 support, one team-member account, and a managed Apple and Google developer portal.
Scale, at $1,250/month, adds realtime advanced analytics, A/B testing, conditional content, Shopify Multipass, and heatmaps. Enterprise+, at $2,850/month, adds a dedicated account manager, data streaming, sandbox accounts, dedicated hosting, a 99.99% uptime SLA, and custom authentication.
That is a growth-team product. It is a poor fit when the plan is to publish the catalog, update the home screen, and send a few pushes a month. It is a reasonable fit when someone on the team will run experiments and the brand already knows the app channel works.
Tapcart’s FAQ says the app reflects the Shopify store’s default currency and that Tapcart supports stores in every country. It also says an existing app can be migrated as an update so users and push subscribers stay with the listing. Treat the migration claim as Tapcart’s own. Confirm listing ownership, subscriber transfer, and the update path in writing before you rely on it.
What Shopney is for
Shopney is a Shopify-only mobile app builder with four named tiers and no advertised commission. Every plan on its pricing page includes a white-label iOS and Android app. Silver is the $149 entry. Gold is $299. Platinum is $599. Enterprise starts at $1,299.
The Platinum heading on Shopney’s pricing page is where segmented and AI push, augmented reality, barcode scan, live selling, loyalty and subscription integrations, and Klaviyo, Rebuy, and Nosto are listed. Shopney’s FAQ says live selling starts on Platinum. Enterprise lists professional design support and a dedicated success manager.
The useful warning is the tier gate. A feature being on Shopney’s site does not mean it is on Silver. If your store depends on a specific review, search, loyalty, or subscription app, ask which plan includes it and price that plan. Silver at $149 can become Platinum at $599 once the real stack is on the table. That is still below Tapcart Scale, and it can be above Appziot’s top plan.
Shopney bills through Shopify and offers a 30-day trial. Its FAQ says you can change plans during the trial and that you are not charged until the trial ends.
Where Appziot fits
Appziot is not a clone of either product. It connects the Shopify store you already run to a branded iOS and Android shopping app. You edit branding, navigation, and layouts in a dashboard. Checkout stays on Shopify. Push starts on Starter, not on Lite. There is no free-forever plan.
The reason to shortlist it in a Shopney vs Tapcart decision is the fixed price. Lite is $29/month. Starter, at $99/month, is the fairer comparison with Shopney Silver or Tapcart Growth because that is the plan with the visual builder and push. Growth is $199/month. Each plan has a 30-day trial, and there is no success fee.
The reason not to treat it as a like-for-like replacement: Appziot’s public integration list is shorter than Shopney’s and shorter than Tapcart’s. Appziot does not publish A/B testing, heatmaps, an uptime SLA, or Shopney’s Platinum feature set. If those are the reason you are shopping, a lower subscription is the wrong deciding factor.
Read how to build the Shopify app, then confirm the plan on pricing.
United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, and India
None of these three products publishes a separate monthly price for the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, or India. The figures on this page are US dollars, which is how Shopney, Tapcart, and Appziot publish them.
Tapcart’s pricing FAQ says the mobile app follows the Shopify store’s default currency and that Tapcart supports stores in every country. Shopney and Appziot charge the subscription through Shopify billing. A store in London, Toronto, Sydney, Los Angeles, or Mumbai still has to read the plan in US dollars and confirm how Shopify presents that charge on its own bill.
Apple and Google accounts are also separate from the country you sell in. Apple’s Developer Program is published at $99 USD per year. Google Play registration is a one-time $25 USD fee. Apple’s enrollment rules ask for a legal business entity, which can be a US company or the local equivalent, such as a UK limited company or an Indian private limited company. That is an Apple requirement. It does not change Shopney’s, Tapcart’s, or Appziot’s monthly plan price.
This page does not claim that Appziot has a local success team, local-language storefront templates, or country-specific payment methods in the United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, or India. Those are not documented Appziot features. If the app must support more than one language or currency inside the shopping experience, test that on your own store before you choose a builder on price. Shopney and other vendors publish multilingual and multicurrency options on higher tiers. Confirm the tier.
How to choose without a spreadsheet
Write down the five jobs the app has to do in the first six months. Then ignore everything else.
- If the jobs are catalog, cart, checkout, and a handful of pushes, compare Appziot Starter ($99/month) with Shopney Silver ($149/month) on a trial. Tapcart Growth at $500/month is a large premium for that job.
- If the jobs include a named Shopify app, such as a loyalty, subscription, search, or review tool, price the Shopney or Tapcart plan that actually includes it. Do not price the entry plan.
- If the jobs include A/B tests, heatmaps, or an uptime commitment, Tapcart Scale or Enterprise+ is the product that publishes those tools. Pay for them only if someone will use them.
- If the jobs include live selling, augmented reality, or Klaviyo inside the app, Shopney’s own page places those on Platinum ($599/month) or above. Ask Shopney to confirm that placement.
- Ask who owns the Apple and Google listings, what happens to existing users if you switch later, and what the first-year invoice looks like with add-ons included.
A cheaper builder that drops a required integration is not cheaper. An enterprise platform whose analytics nobody opens is not more advanced. The right one matches the team you have.

Frequently asked questions
How much does Shopney cost?
On 24 October 2026 Shopney listed Silver at $149/month ($119/month billed yearly), Gold at $299/month ($239 yearly), Platinum at $599/month ($499 yearly), and Enterprise from $1,299/month ($999 yearly). Every tier had a 30-day trial. Apple and Google developer fees are extra.
How much does Tapcart cost?
On 24 October 2026 Tapcart listed Growth at $500/month, Scale at $1,250/month, and Enterprise+ at $2,850/month, plus a $250/month AI add-on. Ask for a written quote that includes any usage or success fee the Shopify listing may still allow.
Is Shopney cheaper than Tapcart?
At the published entry plans, yes. Shopney Silver is $149/month and Tapcart Growth is $500/month. Shopney Platinum at $599/month is still far below Tapcart Scale at $1,250/month. Compare the plan that contains the features you will use, not only the cheapest plan on the page.
Is Shopney a good Tapcart alternative?
Shopney is a practical Tapcart alternative when you want a Shopify mobile app, flat pricing, and no advertised sales commission, and you do not need Tapcart’s Scale-level testing tools. It is a weaker alternative when those testing, analytics, or enterprise controls are the reason you looked at Tapcart.
Do US, UK, Canadian, Australian, and Indian stores see different builder prices?
Shopney, Tapcart, and Appziot do not publish separate country prices. The plans on this page are in US dollars. Shopify bills the subscription. Apple and Google bill their own developer accounts, also published in US dollars. Confirm the charge on your Shopify bill before you treat a US-dollar list price as the amount you will pay.
