How much a Shopify mobile app costs in 2026

A Shopify mobile app is not one price. You are buying either a custom engineering project or a subscription that already includes iOS, Android, Shopify sync, and push.

Appziot publishes three plans on the Shopify App Store: Lite at $29/month ($290/year), Starter at $99/month ($990/year), and Growth at $199/month ($1,990/year). Annual billing skips two months. There is no setup fee. The trial is 30 days.

Custom native builds

Hiring iOS and Android engineers, a designer, and QA for a store-connected app typically lands between $40,000 and $150,000 before launch. Multi-market catalogs, loyalty, and custom checkout flows go higher. After launch you still pay for OS updates, store rejections, and bug fixes — often 15–25% of the original build each year.

Timeline is usually months, not days. Until the app is in TestFlight and Play Console, you have no push channel and no home-screen icon.

Agencies and freelancers

Quotes we hear from merchants sit around $15,000–$60,000 and 8–20 weeks. The risk is not only price: if the contractor disappears, App Store certificates and push keys sit on someone else’s machine.

What Appziot actually bills

You install the Appziot app from the Shopify App Store, connect the store, and build in the dashboard editor (home, collections, product, cart). Products, inventory, and orders stay on Shopify. You are not paying a second catalog.

Lite covers the branded app, Shopify product and inventory sync, and analytics, without push. Starter adds push. Growth adds rich push, priority support, branding removal, and extra widgets. Costs that exist on every path

Apple Developer Program and Google Play Console are billed by Apple and Google, not Appziot. Budget screenshot sets, a privacy policy URL (required for the listing), and time to answer App Review questions.

How to choose

If you do not have a mobile team and you need a storefront app this quarter, a subscription is the cheaper experiment. If you need a one-off feature Shopify and Appziot cannot express, budget a custom module later — do not start with a six-figure rewrite to “see if apps work.”
